Hello Lotus Belly Dance Students and Friends!

We would like to inform you of our operations surrounding the COVID-19 virus. We will be following suit of our parent studio, Carolina Dance Capital, and operating within their guidelines. Below outlines prevention procedures in the studio and our class schedule during this time. If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to reach out to us at info@lotus-studios.com, or 980-428-6396. You can also join our social media pages on Facebook and Instagram at @lotusbellydancenc in addition to subscribing to this list for future updates.

Belly Dance Schedule
Please note that we Update: We will NOT have class the week of March 16 - 28. We will assess the schedule for any future adjustments and inform you as soon as possible of any changes. Class cards will be adjusted to accommodate for studio closure. Recital is currently still on for May 17, but we will continue to assess as we get closer to show time.

Prevention Steps in the Studio

  • Sanitizer: We have hand sanitizer at the front desk, and we encourage everyone to utilize it frequently.
  • Handwashing: We encourage frequent handwashing (for at least 20 seconds before rinsing).
  • Discouraging close contact: We have adjusted certain aspects of our classes to ensure dancers are not in too close of proximity. We will not be giving hugs or hi-fives and are asking dancers to skip those as well.
  • Studio Cleaning: Frequent cleaning/disinfecting throughout the day/evening.
  • Deep Cleaning: Each weekend we are deep cleaning the studio.
  • We strongly encourage that you cover your feet during class at this time. We'll continue to have our sanitizing wipes, but we recommend dance shoes .
  • Sneezes and Coughs: We are encouraging dancers to cough and sneeze into their arms, not in their hands.
  • Staff: Only staff feeling well (without symptoms) will be in the studio.
  • Parents/Students: No gathering until further notice in hallways, waiting areas – students should be dropped off in the front lobby where teachers and/or staff will greet children and escort to the dance room.

How You Can Help
If you are not feeling well, please refrain from coming to class.
During class, please practice social distancing and give a little more proximity to your fellow classmates. Our classes are not crowded and there is plenty of room to make enough space. Please feel free to make use of available hand sanitizer as you enter/exit the dance space.
If you learn that you have/were exposed to the COVID-19 virus, please let us know so that we may address appropriately. Please know that we will not share student details if this is the case, only that there has been some exposure so that other dancers can adjust as necessary.
Do not break any formal quarantines or restrictions.

Remember, a healthy Lotus is a happy Lotus!

Stay safe,

Lotus Belly Dance Staff
